Technical problems

This days i had a lot of problems with the hosting of this blog and site (The blog was down 2 and a half days)… I don’t really know what happend but the Mysql database has became somehow corrupted… I lost all the tags, all the comments and even the user table in witch my account / password / email and other stuff has held, so i couldn’t log either… So what i have done was to reinstall the blog and manually repost every post… A pain in the arse i might say

Anyhow… While the blog was down and my hosting didn’t worked, i started working on my website for http://eek.ro, and after a loot of work… Especially saturday (i spent around 11 hours working) i finally managed to finish the website, so if you wanna see how it camed out you can check it out at http://eek.ro, i didn’t really finished all the work at it, i have some things left to do… The main page is the first thing So it should be done in aprox 2 or 3 days…

Ar least after this Mysql drop-down i didn’t lost the registrations from our Game in Progress (Worlds) so… We still have all the data… If anyone else wants to register from this date it can do it here… http://worlds.eek.ro/register/

Promised a post about StarCraft 2 & some Diablo 3… I will make a preview of both games this days Soo stay tooned

Worlds – Part III

This days, i’ve been a little busy working at the game’s login and registration system… We have finished the registration system of the game… And you can check it HERE, and you can even make your account already. The bad part is that you won’t be able to log anywhere with it because we’re still working at our login system and making some first steps in the game play mechanism. But if you make an account now, it will be a valid account when the game will be playable! So it’s an advantage if you make it now, because you will be able to “reserv” you nickname!

Hope you like the design and functionallity of the registration system (at the moment we don’t have a good looking submit button because we’re waiting for our sleppy “designer” to wake up, eat his launch and start doing a button ), yeah… He was at a party last night so, we didn’t put any design on the submit button, it’s just a dark area you can click.

Besides the registration system we have implemented a news box at the first page of the game (HERE) , that will provide users with the latest news, changes and implements regarding the game. Hope you like it!

Flash – Interaction and Animation

I have always wanted to change the world… And to be onest I don’t have the slighthest ideea how to do that… When i was young i was always thinking that I will be an inventor or something… I always dreamed of discovering the secret to pass the Speed of Light… But when I think more of it… It’s not for me
So… I’m trying to change the world in a different way… Change the WEB!
I think the internet is such a static and hunted place it sometimes cares me… It should be so much animated… So much more interaction should be… So… I’m starting on changing the world there
I have spent a lot of time today in flash, thinking, making, trying, seeing, modifing stuff… I’ve made some interesting stuff for my website (http://eek.ro) but i won’t share any on those at the moment…
But I will share something else i have made… To be onest it’s not 100% my work, i have been inspiring in other people’s work… But this is how the human kind evolved… Right? Learning one from each other…

So… The final product comes like and interesting Calendar i will find it usefull to insert changelogs and other usefull information you can store in the calendar… And it’s fully animated… So… Here! Take a look!

Worlds – Part II

I realized some of you didn’t get the ideea of this game… So i’ll have to say it again maybe be a little more explicit about the content and things related to it.

So… The game will be like Tribal-Wars (hehe, today i’v seen a post on Hacker’s Blog about an SQL injection intro Tribal-Wars that will reveal people passwords… I will relate some more at the end of this post)

The game will be like Tribal-Wars that means You will be given a “village”, here a city, contry, biodome, don’t know how we will call it. You will be able to evolve, research, discover tehnologies and other stuff, prospere have morale tot you citizens, have respect as a leader and other stuff… You will then be able to build offensive troops for fighting (conquering other cities and defend yours), you will be able to fight other people (almost just like on TribalWars)… So think of a browser based game similar to Tribal Wars with a lot of improvements!!!

The sweet part is that you will able to research important things like space exploration, shuttle research, transportation and other stuff… The thing is you will be given an spaceship (the one you build), with it you can carry troops, colonizers and resources. You will then be able to go explore the vast areas of the univers, scanning suitable planets for “colonization” After you find that suitable planet you will be given a brand new city, the resources you had on the spaceship, and the troops you had on the spaceship. After that you can start evoluate there too Without the need to make researches again cause you have already done in the first colony… And you can fight with people who are already on that planet…

That’s a sort of short story of WORLDS
