Anyhow… While the blog was down and my hosting didn’t worked, i started working on my website for http://eek.ro, and after a loot of work… Especially saturday (i spent around 11 hours working) i finally managed to finish the website, so if you wanna see how it camed out you can check it out at http://eek.ro, i didn’t really finished all the work at it, i have some things left to do… The main page is the first thing So it should be done in aprox 2 or 3 days…

Ar least after this Mysql drop-down i didn’t lost the registrations from our Game in Progress (Worlds) so… We still have all the data… If anyone else wants to register from this date it can do it here… http://worlds.eek.ro/register/

Soo… The good news in the latest period was the Blizzard Announcement of StarCraft II -> HELL, ITS ABOUT TIME! <-, that game that i would probably pre-comand

I was looking in my documentes and i found out some things i made last year after the Blizz Announcement… Some things related to StarCraft I wanted to trick some of my friends that i really had the game with a looong time before it appear so… I started first in making a “original” DVD cover, that i think it’s very realistic, it really looks realistic on the DVD… Some of my friends after i tricked me were thinking that it would be funny if the original STARCRAFT II release would have my cover…

How would that be possible? Simple… Let me tell you what i have done AFTER i’ve tricked all my friends… Well… Simple… I wanted to trick mooore ) So i sent the DVD to Blizz (WTF?!? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT? YOU’LL GO IN JAIL), well… tried my luck… Wasn’t lucky… They didn’t respons with anything, and i haven’t sent only the DVD cover, it was so much more:

1. DVD cover (i will upload it in a minute)

2. DVD print (yeah… i bought a dvd lightscribe and drew onto the dvd, it look like the Diablo original cd )

3. I’v made StarCraft II installer… (WTF DID YOU DO?) Simple… Made the installer… I will upload that in a minute too..

4. And fourth… I have send them a letter, i will upload that too…

I’m sort of sad that after almost a year i still didn’t get any respons from them… Not even a: “HAHA! That was a good one! ” ((((((

Eh anyway… Soo… Cover, Installer & letter comming up!

Hmm… I can’t put the installer here because it will auto start, and you will loose the begining… In that time (1 year ago) i didn’t tought that i will put it on the internet so i didn’t made a PLAY button at the start to prevent auto-start So i will post a link… Here is the link

So… If your interesting in an RSS of my latest post you can click on it and subscribe There are a lot of options you can choose there… Yeah, i know i didn’t done a lot of stuff today, but that’s because i had made test for the AUTO EXAM, because i was “rejected” at the driving test… Rejected for knowing the rules too good… There was a pedestrian at the other side of the road (2 ways both-way trafic) that could not even cross the road because of a very intensive traffic and bad mannered people… I slowed down, seen i couldn’t pass and wanted to go further, but NOOOooooooooo the policeman stoped me and “rejected” me X(

I’m so annoyed about all of this, the people who really know who to drive are “rejected” just because they don’t want to offer some “gifts” at the policeman… X( So… The roadways are full of IDIO*S! X(

Argh…

So… The final product comes like and interesting Calendar i will find it usefull to insert changelogs and other usefull information you can store in the calendar… And it’s fully animated… So… Here! Take a look!

The animation you’ve seen with Eek (The Eek Logo) it’s made quite simple. You open a new project in Flash and there you draw a form (in my case, those 3D cubes…), after that you select your form, press F8 and convert it to Movie clip… Here you go to the timeline and insert another 2 keyframes.

In the first keyframe you add this code:
x00 = _x;
y00 = _y;
DIAM = 1000;

The important thing you need to know here is that DIAM is the diametre in which the “shapes” can run away from you

In the second keyframe there’s a little more actionscripting:

x0 = _x;
y0 = _y;
x = _root._xmouse;
y = _root._ymouse;
a = x - x0;
b = y - y0;
r = Math.sqrt(a * a + b * b);
a_x = this._x - a / r * DIAM/ r;
a_y = this._y - b / r * DIAM/ r;

this._x = a_x + b_x;
this._y = a_y + b_y;


And that’s almost everything… In the last (third) keyframe you add the code gotoAndPlay(2); so that the script will aways run.

Then you go back into the Main Scene and draw everything you want by inserting the shapes into the stage and copy-paste them and making the form you desire out of them

That’s all regarding to that flash…

I think i’ll gonna do something related to that on the first page (http://eek.ro)… But a lot more visual atractive, i experimented a little more with my logo by replacing those 3D cubes with tiny circles… Then added around 300 in my scene to draw a better looking Eek But after i exported i realised there were too many and the animation was working like SH*T Eh… I think i’ll gonna remain at some photoshop

Hope you like the new design of my blog… Added to it what i done yestarday in photoshop, and besides that i added a favicon… Not a very good looking one that’s a little nice

Was a little gone Had some school today… Only 8 hours from which 6 of them of Geometry… I know… That sucks

Well… Wanted to discuss a little about what will be on Eek.ro… First of all when i bought this domain i didn’t even tought of what i’ll gonna make on it… Just wanted to have it because it’s my nickname Okey, now that i tought a little of what i’ll gonna do i’ll gonna share some stuff…

1. It will be my personal blog (on http://blog.eek.ro), in which i’ll write everyday (hope so…) about what i mentioned in my first post. Hope you like how the blog looks, but this is temporary… I don’t really like the fact that i don’t have space to put a logo (and i really want a logo… A made in flash one…). I think something based on this principle ideea (this ideea was developed during some math booring class) –

Hope you like this ideea… Like 3D squares running away from you :-” ;;) . The other thing i made was a logo with Eek.ro, which i have uploaded on DeviantArt for that you can all see it at very high rezolutions Here is the -> link

This is my very first post on this blog and i am really happy that i had the time to put online a blog… And maybe even write in it… First of all, maybe some of you wonder what’s with the odd Post Name and others why i’m writing in English…

Let’s start with the beginning… The post name stand’s for only “Hello World” if you write it in PHP I’m a php programmer… And maybe soon a Zend certified php programmer Okey… the second part is that i’d like my blog to be visited not only by Romanian people… So that’s why i write in English (Yeah… For Romanian english is like second nature :-”)

I started this blog at the request of some friends of mine… And i think i started this blog because a friends of mine (RubbyRoy) said I will never be able to have a blog ( I wonder why is that…)
So… In general, I’ll write almost about every single subject that i consider more or less interesting… I know that some of you told me that if i’ll have a blog it’s better to write only about a subject (and maybe make some money out of it) but… I’m not interested in money so i’ll write almost everything (i consider interesting)

Some topics will be related to:

- Everything that i found interesting about IT (hardware, software, malware, viruses and other “neat” stuff)

- Almost everything i test regarding games… (and some of the game world)

- My experience related to online gamming (that beeing ESL contests, Garena contests, and browser based games)

- A lot about programming (PHP & Mysql, Actionscript 2&3, C++, Java or something else i try…)

- Some things related about my projects… (Including dynamic websites, Multiplayer Games (flash based), and other stuff)
